This version has no new features, just performance improvements which are only really noticeable when you have very large numbers of contacts or send to very large groups (several thousand).

- includes a more efficient algrorithm for polling the server for the status of sent messages

TextMagic Messenger version 1.4     (27/2/09)

- automatically polls the server every 5 minutes for incoming SMS (replies) and to update the status of sent messages
- when the inbox contains replies that have not yet been read the folder will be made bold
- both inbox and sent message views changed to show contact name and mobile number
- you can paste into the secondary message window using right click paste or control+V
- fixes the minor bug (in version 1.3.1) which caused country code to be repeated when creating a new contact
- the size of the folder pane can be made larger or smaller using a handle
- customers using older versions will automatically be notified that this new version exists.

- entering a contact's first name, a space, and the first part of the last name is now correctly recognised. (This was a minor bug in version 1.3).

- all contacts and groups you select are shown in the "To:" box
- after the name of the contact the mobile number is shown in brackets, and after the name of the group the number of contacts is shown.
-  the list is colour coded to make it easy to distinguish contacts and groups.

- Title (Mr.,Mrs., etc.) can be added to contacts
- contacts have 6 spare fields whose usage you can tailor
- for improved searching, contact and group selection are combined into a single window

- Improved server protocol using base64. All characters can be passed in replies.
- Fixes very minor problem on Windows with editting a contact.

These are all pre-release versions, and although they work, if you are using one of these then you should really upgrade to the latest version.
