What does it do?

TextMagic Online lets you quickly and easily send text messages online to any mobile phone – just supply a number, enter a message, and click the send button. Because it’s web-based, it will work from any computer with internet access and a web browser, regardless of operating system.

How does it work?

  • Just purchase your first block of message credits, and an account will be created for you.
  • You can log into this account from any web-enabled computer.
  • To send an SMS message, just specify a number (or group), enter your text message and click the send button.
All messages, contacts, and preferences are stored on our central server, so if you use several different computers between work, home, and travel, TextMagic Online will make sure you can access all your SMS-related data wherever you may be. Alert customers to emerging opportunities, keep tabs on your field staff, or send out a marketing blast to hundreds of key prospects, all from the nearest computer.

How is TextMagic Online different from other TextMagic services?

TextMagic Online service differs from other products in that it is web-based so there is no software to install. It is readily accessible from any computer with internet access.

When should you use TextMagic Online?

TextMagic Online might be useful for you if you travel often and access the internet from various places or computers. Because it’s web-based, all necessary data is centrally stored. Of course, keep in mind if you only use one computer and want all texting data kept on your hard drive, then it may be preferable to use TextMagic Messenger. And if you prefer doing it all over email, you might be interested in our Email to SMS service.

Are there any additional charges?

Beyond needing to purchase a bundle of message credits, there are no other charges. You pay only for the messages you send. There are no hidden costs. Current SMS prices.

Do I need to install any software in order to use TextMagic Online?

No. You can log in to TextMagic Online anytime from any net-connected computer. You just need a web browser, for example Internet Explorer, Firefox, or any of the many others out there.

How long can messages be?

You can send up to 160 characters in a single text message. If your message is longer, the message will be automatically split into two or three separate text messages. You are charged for each individual text message sent. TextMagic Online (as well as Email to SMS and TextMagic Messenger) makes use of linked/concatenated messages, which places the maximum number of characters at459, auto-split into 3 separate text messages. Note that the limit is different for non-Western character sets: in Russian, Arabic, Chinese or Japanese, the maximum length is 210 characters in 3 SMS messages.

Can I share the account?

Yes, you can add any number of sub-users to your account, so all those people can send text messages. This is especially useful for businesses, where it would be useful to split texting amongst individual employees.

How do I check my balance?

Login to your account to check your balance at any time. When your balance falls to 10% of your last purchase, you'll get a reminder by email (or optionally by text message).

How do I know if my message was delivered?

You can check the current delivery status of sent messages on-line. We display 3 types of message delivery notifications: accepted, delivered or failed.

  • Send text messages to groups. You can create groups from your contacts, or import numbers from an external database into a group.
  • Two-way communication. If the recipient replies to your message, it is automatically forwarded to your e-mail or TextMagic Online inbox.
  • Sent message log with delivery status. With TextMagic Online, you canview all messages you have sent and check their delivery status.
  • Equip your entire team with TextMagic Online. You can create sub-accounts for different departments and employees.
  • Initiate a mobile-based marketing campaign. You can send a single text message to large groups as well as personalise each text message by using templates.
  • Track your usage. Comprehensive reporting, including messages sent within specific time frames, number of contacts, billing details, automatic account balance alerts, and more.
  • Low balance alert. You can check your balance any time and you can also set up an automatic alert to notify you via e-mail and/or SMS whenever your account balance drops below a certain threshold.
  • Print invoices for accounting/tax purposes.
