A dedicated number is required to send SMS from your account and receive replies. It’s exclusive to your workspace, so all incoming and outgoing messages stay linked to your team.
In the US & Canada, you’ll need to choose either a 10DLC number or a toll-free number. Both must be verified before you can start sending texts. Verification is required by carriers to ensure compliance and protect your deliverability. Approval usually takes up to 7 business days, and we provide guided flows with expert support to make the process simple.
You can also use an Alphanumeric Sender ID (your business name shown as the sender) for outbound-only messaging. Replies are not supported with a Sender ID. This is a paid feature available only in select countries, including Australia, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, and most EU countries.
The first month of your dedicated number is free in select countries during your trial. After that, the monthly number fee is deducted from your prepaid balance. If unpaid, the number will be released.
