The business challenge

We were trying to figure out a way to be in contact with our students and be able to keep up with the ones that don’t always come by our office. We also use it to send out reminders for important dates of our events that we host for our students or even remind them when dates are approaching for enrollment/withdrawing from classes.

How Textmagic helped

Textmagic has bridged that gap in our communication capabilities. Yes we still email and make the calls, but the SMS response rate is 10 times higher than email.
From personal experience, if the student doesn’t respond they still read the text. We send out thousands upon thousands of texts each semester.
My favorite thing to use Textmagic for is actually to schedule text messages to go out to our students on their birthday. I always love to see them respond to the messages, it’s a nice touch to let our students know we’re thinking about them.

The results

We have definitely noticed an increase in students responding back and acknowledging reminders now that they come across text messages instead of their email.
It has helped us with resolving financial aid issues, student success issues, attendance issues, and others.
