Dan is the founder and director of TextMagic Ltd. A Cambridge Mathematics graduate, he is also a co-founder of Chilango.
Mike Houghton

Mike was a programmer at Software Sciences and Logica and then spent many years in technical support with Intel. Now, he is the head of TextMagic’s customer support team.
Priit Vaikmaa

Priit is the marketing manager for TextMagic. He studied business management and marketing and has been involved in many web start-ups and IT companies.

History

Founded in 2001, TextMagic Ltd. is a UK registered company.

2001- 2004	Dan Houghton starts text message service trading as TextMagic. MagicMessage software for PC was introduced. Email to SMS launched.
2005	One millionth text message sent. TextMagic becomes a limited company and registers for VAT.
2006	Two millionth text message sent.
2007	Five Millionth text message sent. Development on TextMagic Messenger begins. Development work for TextMagic Online starts.
2008	TextMagic Messenger version 1.0 released. TextMe service launched. Sub-accounts made available that can share the main account balance. New website launched at www.textmagic.com TextMagic Online launched. Online sent message log with delivery status introduced. Support for linked/concatenated texts. Sending texts in Russian, Arabic, Chinese and Japanese made possible.
2009	International website launched in 11 languages. TextMe service launched. TextMagic Messenger version 2.0 released. Credit-based charging system introduced, leading to price reductions for many countries. HTTP SMS API service launched.
2010	Mobile Marketing Sign-Up Forms introduced. Recipients can now reply "STOP" to unsubscribe from all future messages from the sender. Introduced reply numbers for Finland, Sweden, Australia, Germany, Denmark and Netherlands.
2011	Twenty Millionth text message sent. TextMagic affiliate programme launched. Introduced reply numbers for Italy, South Africa, Spain and France.
